Credit Transfer Application

Supporting Documents
To receive transfer credit for previous studies, students must submit a completed application form and have the issuing college or university send an official copy of a transcript directly to Office of the Registrar at Newport University for assessment.

The Registrar and/or the Dean of the Faculty will determine eligibility for transfer credit based on the official transcript. Newport University is committed to giving the maximum transfer credit that is appropriate. When assessing eligibility, the Admissions department looks at the following:

  • the type of institution attended;
  • the applicability of the courses at the previous institution to the Newport University program the student intends to take;
  • the grades achieved;
  • the minimum course requirements necessary for the intended program of study.
