1. Purpose and Mission The LRC is an auxiliary facility established to provide supplemental academic enrichment and learning resources to students enrolled in the various program of Newport University. Its mission is to foster a high-performance learning environment that supports students in mastering the official curriculum and preparing for international licensing examinations (e.g., USMLE). 2. Scope of Services The LRC provides the following non-instructional, auxiliary services: Resource Management: Providing access to a curated collection of medical journals, clinical databases, anatomical models, and diagnostic simulation tools for self-directed practice. Academic Coaching: Offering workshops on evidence-based study strategies, time management, and critical thinking skills. USMLE/Licensing Exam Support: Facilitating peer-led review groups and workshops on clinical vignette analysis and test-taking strategies. Linguistic Support: Delivering intensive coaching in medical English and clinical communication to ensure preparation for international licensure. 3. Operational Boundaries (Strict Non-Instructional Policy) To maintain compliance with accreditation and licensing standards, the LRC shall adhere to the following: No Formal Curriculum Delivery: The LRC does not provide, replace, or deliver the University’s official lectures or syllabus. No Academic Authority: The LRC has no authority to issue academic credit, assign grades, or certify student progress. No Mandatory Instruction: Attendance at the LRC is voluntary. All official attendance tracking and degree-granting assessments are the sole responsibility of the University. 4. Governance and Oversight Academic Review: All learning materials, workshop curricula, and study resources used within the ASRC are subject to periodic review by the University Dean’s Office to ensure pedagogical alignment with the official program curriculum. Institutional Accountability: The University retains final responsibility for the degrees and primary-source verification of all student records. 5. Ethical Standards and Transparency Public Disclaimer: The LRC shall display a clear, permanent disclaimer in all physical and digital communication stating: “This facility is a supplemental partner of Newport University. It does not grant academic credits or degrees. Official medical instruction is provided exclusively by Newport University.” Integrity: The LRC strictly prohibits providing “shortcuts” to learning. Academic integrity standards are enforced, and any misuse of resources to bypass university assessments will be reported to the University’s Ethics Committee. The “Learning Resource Center (LRC)” is a dedicated facility for students of the Newport University (NU) programs. The center provides auxiliary services including student mentorship, peer-led content review, language coaching, and USMLE test-taking strategy sessions.
