NUINS AFFILIATED INSTITUTIONS WORLDWIDE
The Newport University International Network System (NUINS)

Since 2008, students and faculty of Newport University have benefited from the University’s membership in Newport University CED International Network System, today a consortium of 15 colleges and universities. NUINS works with its member institutions to help their students and faculty gain access to many options available worldwide; to keep its members informed about opportunities for fellowship, scholarship, and research appointments; Professorship (Prof.) International Professorship (Inti. Prof.); Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D); Grand Doctor of Philosophy (Grand Ph.D); The Sign of the Order ‘Science.Education.Culture’; to establish a worldwide recognized ‘Educational Quality Assurance System’ for the member institutions for wide recognition worldwide and to organize research alliances among its members.

The Newport University International Network System manages, undergraduates, graduates, postgraduates, as well as faculty enjoy access to a multitude of opportunities for study and research. Students can participate in programs covering a wide variety of disciplines including business, humanities and mathematics, among others. Appointment and program length range from one month to three years.

Education is enhanced through exposure to diversity in composition of the student body, faculty, staff, and administrators; including women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and various age groups and religions. The University has responded to the challenging responsibility of being located in a culturally diverse region by developing a unique blend of teaching, research, and service.

Teaching brings the benefits of scholarship and research to students and through them to the people of the area. Newport University asserts that excellence in teaching traditional and non-traditional students is its central responsibility. A comprehensive undergraduate education, grounded in the arts, business and sciences, develops intellectual, cultural, and ethical qualities in its students. The innovative General Education Program challenges students to develop the analytical and critical skills necessary for life-long learning. Newport University offers advance standing degrees in selected graduate programs as well as degrees in certain professional areas. Through learning begun at Newport University, graduates compete in the global intellectual community in which they live.

As a research university, Newport University develops, integrates, disseminates, and applies knowledge. Faculty maintains on-going programs of basic and applied research or creative activities appropriate to their disciplines. The University’s urban and rural environments provide a rich opportunity for research and creative scholarship, and for the use of that scholarship in the intellectual and cultural development of the region. The University’s commitment to fostering a research and creative environment harmonizes with the other aspects of its mission. Newport University fulfills its outreach mission through its contributions to professional organizations and to the needs of the community.

The University promotes intellectual, cultural, and community development of the region through, for example, its artistic programs, lecture series, technical assistance, continuing education, and intercollegiate athletic programs.
Newport University, through its research, teaching, and outreach roles, responds to individual needs and addresses broader issues as well, for instance, early education, economic development, environmental initiatives, international programs, computing, and telecommunications.

NUINS is an international consortium of educational establishments aiming to advance global education in all aspects.

NUINS works with its member institutions to help their students and faculty gain access to the many options available worldwide; to keep its members informed about opportunities for fellowship, research appointments and alliances.

NUINS allows students from its member institutions a smoother transition for transferring to other centers and educational systems.

NUINS (Newport University International Network System) has been conceived as a Consortium of educational institutions of all kinds willing to attain the following general objectives:

  • Contribute to the acquisition of the highest levels of educational excellence with regard to design, conformation, development, assessment, implementation, and research of all kinds of European-American based programs, either originated by public or private institutions or by non-governmental organizations.
  • Represent and administer all kinds of programs with proven recognition, prestige and reputation, all over the world.
  • Coordinate international initiatives whose final objective contributes to the advancement, the improvement and the exaltation of those values derived from an international education as a vehicle of communication and intercultural awareness, within the respect for the territorial singularities, the awareness before the problematic proceeding from intolerance, social injustice, inequalities of any kind, environmental aggressions, harm to the fundamental rights, search fro transcendence and peace.
  • Establish an organic structure throughout the world hierarchy constituted by as many regional coordinators as states or countries represented in every moment. Each coordinator will strive to organize his or her own team within the framework of the official regulations, policies and directives set up by the NUINS Governing Board.
  • Manage and orient the coordinators’ activities towards the optimization of the university programs sponsored by the Organization.
  • Maintain a special service of updated information about all institutions directly or indirectly integrated within the network, as well as about their programs, characteristics, accreditation and other relevant aspects of general interest.
  • Centralize and channel all applications from students who wish to be part or pursue European-American studies by creating an Orientation and Counseling Bureau to take care of all procedures of an informative, administrative, legal, assessment, and/or credential validation nature.
  • Support whatever initiative coming from international students that eventually may contribute to the enrichment of their personal, academic, social or recreational experiences and to the setting up of an international network among them.
  • Create a job bank by means of special agreements international firms from all economic sectors, independently of the country the student may come from.
